Lattice Matching: Epitaxially Grown Organic Crystal Waveguide
Vapor Phase Epitaxial Fused Multiport Organic Optical Waveguides.

The project focused on the epitaxial growth of an organic semiconductor tailored for photonic applications. Through an ambient pressure vapor phase bottom-up approach, high-quality single crystals were formed with well-defined facets and long-range molecular alignment ideal for directional light propagation.
“When molecules align with purpose, light follows; epitaxial crystals transforming chemistry into photonic architecture.”

The resulting waveguides demonstrated efficient in-plane optical confinement and anisotropic propagation behavior, driven by the inherent birefringence and high optical clarity of the crystals. These epitaxially fused organic structures behaved as self-assembled optical channels, bridging the gap between molecular-scale ordering and macroscale photonic functionality.
